Kwardel Lewis, MPH
Research & Evaluation Project Lead

Kwardel Lewis, MPH, is a public health epidemiologist, health educator, program evaluator, and researcher. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Public Health at the University of Georgia, with an emphasis on health promotion and behavior.

Kwardel began her career in program evaluation and data analysis with EMSTAR Research Inc. under the direction of Dr. Broomfield-Massey. She worked with community-based organizations, nonprofits, and state and federal government agencies, such as the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Gateway Center.

She continues her program evaluation efforts at UMC, facilitating interviews and focus groups, developing surveys, conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, and writing reports.

Kwardel’s areas of expertise include maternal and child health, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, health education, and infectious disease intervention (specifically STD/HIV and COVID-19).

Kwardel enjoys spending quality time with her family, playing tennis, and collaborating with her sister on their event planning business. She is passionate about improving health through education and advocacy in underserved communities.
